Signing up as a Guide takes four short steps, then one more to get paid. Have your worksheet next to you.
Step 1: Account
Your first and last name, email, phone and a password. That's it.
Step 2: First Offer
This is the important one.
- Headline. The one-liner from your worksheet.
- Bio. What you know, and how you work alongside someone learning it. Write it like you'd say it. "I've done brakes on everything from Civics to F-250s. I'll show you the tricky parts and let you do the rest."
- City and state.
- Category. Pick the best fit. Don't see your niche? Pick the closest one and put your real specialty in the headline. You can post the same skill under more than one category later.
- Credentials and licenses. Optional. List them if you have them.
- Remote and/or in-person. Check the ones you'll do.
Step 3: Tools
Specialty tools you own and can bring to a Session, with an optional fee and a line about what each one does. Skip it if it doesn't apply.
Step 4: Rate
Your in-person and/or remote hourly rate. You'll see your take-home after the fee right on the screen, before you commit.
Then tap Create account & choose plan.
Step 5: Connect payouts
AlongSide pays you through Stripe, straight to your bank. It takes about 5 minutes. Your Offer stays unlisted until this is done, so do it right away.
