From Home Recipe to Small Food Business
Help home cooks turn one great recipe into a product they can legally sell.
The Course
For the home cook whose friends keep telling them to sell it. Members scale one recipe in a commercial kitchen and cost it out. They learn what Pennsylvania requires to sell food, and they finish with a labeled, priced product and a plan to sell it.
What Members walk away able to do
- Scale a home recipe to batch size without losing it
- Cost a recipe and set a price that makes money
- Understand food safety, licensing and labeling basics in Pennsylvania
- Package and label a product correctly
- Plan a first sales channel: markets, local shops or online
